After working offshore for 14 years on vessels from tugboats, Navy torpedo retrievers and oil field supply ships acquiring a 1600 ton master of oceans license. Samson wanted to be home and present with his young family.
Marine construction is nothing new to Samson. Growing up in Amelia Island, Florida living on the water. Building docks during his high school years as well as working on a local 100 ft sailboat doing sunset cruises. Always at home around the water.
Starting a new marine construction company was an understood risk worth taking. Fortunately, each year has seen growth for this young company and Samson understands his company is in the early years of building a strong reputation and proving the focus is quality not quantity.
We pride ourselves on exceeding local building requirements.
We understand that everything is only as strong as its foundation, which is why our dock piles are hammered with an 800 lbs pneumatic hammer to refusal no less than 8 feet into the ground.
Boat lift piles are set 10+ ft into the ground to ensure long term stability
If rock is encountered, we have hydraulic drills to get through properly to ensure a long life for your investment.
All piles are wrapped with a black vinyl 1 ft into the ground and 1 ft above the high water line. This has 2 benefits. The first keeps the organisms such as ship worms out of the piling giving it a longer life. The second benefit is it helps keep the chemicals used to pressure treat the pilings from leaking into our waterways.
Docks and seawalls are simple to look at but need every attention to detail. From straight and square framework, Screw lines, notching decking around piles everything needs a proper fit and finish.
